Wussie?
Since when did a woman Storm the a beach at Omaha or the Philippines. And further more since when did a woman come back from Vietnam and be called a baby killer. I ask you that? |

Women back then were writing Dear John letters that's all.

Well maybe that's cuz the male oriented society decided that women
weren't tough enough to fight. There were nearly 60,000 nurses that were in the European theatre during WW2 and many of them were serving close enough to the front to become casualties themselves, and sadly some did. There were nurses that were killed in Bastogne who went there VOLUNTARILY to help with the wounded that were piling up. 400 nurses were also killed in the Pacific war. As far as I'm concerned, it takes a lot of guts to volunteer to be surrounded without a weapon to defend yourself. |

I think women were sronger as infents but when it came to the rest of
their life. Women were taught to be weak and men were thought to be strong. men went to war and women stay=ied in the kitchen. But it is an indavidual thing though. Some women can handle sress better then men and some man can out cook a women. But I think men are more expected to be leaders and go getters then women. |

But again. How many actually stormed the beaches? None I guess.
And how many could have? |

Ghost, and everyone else...
i think had women been allowed, had it been socially acceptable for women to be IN the army at that time, i think there would have been women inthe front lines as they are today. now, back to 2006... who's stronger? i don't really think that's an issue, the averate joe seem to be physically stronger than the average jane these days, altho, the average jane has shown to be mentally stronger than the average joe these days. i agree to most of what the other poster's have said so far, but to an extent. when you're in a relationship, there has to be some sort of agreement, that one will have a "final say". For example, when kids are involved, and they've asked to do something, mom says no, dad says yes. mom has a good reason for saying no, as does dad, but they can't seem to agree. so...Dad has the final say, and dad knows if mom's "idea" of things happen, mom can say "this was my fear" in the end, they both should have a plan if the worst does happen, but dad got the final say, and mom will always remember this, and remind dad of the outcome of this event should something similar occurs in the future. this also goes in hand with the previous idea of both fittin the need of the other. i've known men who i thought were a complete ASS to their wives, the wife constantly doing things for him, things he should be capable of doing for himself, only doesn't. after asking her why she does things for him like that, she says "i'd be offended if he didn't ask me to do them" she has a need to do things for him, and he has a need to command her. they fit as crazy as that sounds, they fit |

LG, MY TAKE IS THIS
LOOK AROUNF YOU, AND THOSE THAT YOU SEE THAT HAVE SERVIE TRAGEDY AND DISPARE THOSE ARE THE STRONG ONES ONLY THE STRONG SERVIVE |
poison, no disrespect intended, so please don't take this that way...
but i think you're taking this to a whole new level.. one im not going to. im talking about day to day lives, of men and women, a relationship, and who's the stronger of the 2... none military-originated |
Women can be strong and men can be weak... but if you take the strongest
man against the strongest woman...she would be hopelessly crushed...so I guess a strong man will always be better then a strong woman. |
only physically Ontario...there ARE other strengths besides physical
strength however. lol and Ghost, you really touched on an irony. Society still expects women to work the kitchen when they are home and YET, all the top chefs in the world are men. As a matter of fact, I've still yet to see a woman chef in a 5 star restaurant. Maybe there are, but I haven't seen one yet |

porcelain, I got the last word

I really don't think so.

Women think on so many levels at once, thier minds are wired for
multitasking better than men. A man tends to take on one thing at a time, deal with it, then go on to another. We are different I tell you. not better, not lesser, not the same. Equal for sure but we each have strengths that compliment each other if working together as a couple. |
