is it just me that is tired of seeing all the review my profile posts?

since when does the approval of a bunch of people that you dont know matter. just be your self and let your words and view of yourself stand on its own.

Yeah...I'm kinda with you on that one lol My profile is certainly nothing special, but it weeds out the "one night stands" from the guys who are actually truely interested in getting to know me.

How would one rate a profile anyway?

As most of you know, we recently launched a new forum, the "Rate My Profile" forum. There are many members of the site who want to get feedback on their profile and themselves. The new forum was created to accommodate those requests.

Previously, these members had been posting topics like "Would you date me?", etc. in General Discussion or other forums. But there were other members who dislike these types of topics, and their presence in the main forums were causing some conflicts and discontent.

Our goal in creating the "Rate My Profile" forum was to accommodate both sets of members. Those members who want to participate in those kinds of topics can do so in the new forum. Those that don't, do not need to go into that forum. Those types of topics are now contained in a separate area, so that people who don't like those topics can avoid them.

To be absolutely clear, the forum rules specifically state that "Would you date me?" topics are permitted within the "Rate My Profile" forum. We are ok with these topics, and they will not be considered attention-seeking as long as they are kept within the Rate My Profile forum.

What will not be permitted are any personal attacks disguised as "feedback" in those forums. We will also NOT tolerate posts that criticize people who participate in the Rate Me forums. Some of you may not like those forums, and that is absolutely fine. Just don't go in them, or participate in those topics. But if you criticize people who participate in those forums, that will be considered an attack on another member which is a forum rule violation.

No one is forced to read the rate my profile forum, locking this thread up as it serves no purpose other than to belittle folks who use that forum. If you do not like the rate my profile forum, simply do not go into them.
