I'm sitting in the shadows
Talking to the dark
Listening to Artemis
As she strums her harp
She's telling me a story
About a moonless night
When dreams across the land
Told of love in sight
A mistress of the Tower
A knight all mail-clad
A throne betrayed in anger
And the ever-binding thread
A wizard standing tall
At the sovereign ear
Every word he spoke in lies
The King was sure to hear
He spoke in deceptive webs
A devious treachery
Of a woman in anothers bed
An infidelity
True or not one cannot tell
But anger reigned supreme
Dawn found a stake cruelly adorned
With the head of the Queen
By midday he was murdered
At his advisor's hand
Who by Dusk took the throne
And the sovereignty of the land
In a tower of darkest stone resided
The one and only heir
The daughter of the King and Queen
With flowing golden hair
For many a dark and dreary year
Oppression ruled over all
Until a boy was old enough
To hold a sword and flail
He rode in on a horse of white
Armor shining hard
His features all the glory of
The tales of a bard
He struck the wizard through the heart
And smashed his wicked lies
Released the princess from the tower
And melted in her eyes
Now they sit in love so clear
Upon the Ivory Throne
Making prophecy into fate
As an ever-loving One

This I heard from Artemis' word
As she played her tune
I know that some day I'll be that knight
Rushing to rescue you
