i believe so strongly Abra that if you were so happy and so free ~ and so secure in your existence & your convictions ~ Abra ~ truly ~
it would not even matter to you ~ one smidgeon ~ what any one of us who profess Christianity says or does ~ thinks or doesn't think Do you think that just because I’m happy I should be content to sit back and watch cancer consume others? To me, Christianity is cancer of the spirit. It’s seriously harmful and detrimental to humanity in general. It has a terrible historical record of driving mankind in the wrong directions. Do you realize that it was Christians who came to America and ran the natives here off their land calling them savages? Do you realize that it was Christians who went to church to be saved by Jesus whilst their African slaves picked cotton in their field. Yes, Christianity, the supposedly ‘godly’ religion. It’s bigotry gone wild, is what it is. Someday humanity will finally be rid of this terrible spiritual disease. Being spiritual and having light and love in you has nothing to do with Christianity or a man made god for that matter. You are correct at the horrors committed by religions to this day. Any organization that feels justified by a diving power in judging and persecuting others is a danger, there is no way around it. |

Is a discussion forum not supposed to --- well, discuss, allow participants to state what they think, believe, agree, disagree with? Do different viewpoints not enhance discussion?
I wonder if Isabelle from the childhood poem of Isabelle and the Bear had a religious preference. Isabelle, Isabelle, met a bear. Isabelle, Isabelle, didn't care. The bear said, "Isabelle, glad to meet you, how do Isabelle, now I'll eat you". Isabelle, Isabelle didn't scream or scurry. Isabelle, Isabelle, didn't cry and worry. She washed her hands and straightened her hair up. then Isabelle, quietly ate the bear up. Don't remember who wrote it....Polite lil buggers though weren't they? |

"Lord bless this food, which I am about to receive from thy bounty through Christ our Lord, Amen."
Yep, that sounds like a typical Christian alright. Praise the Lord and eat thy neighbor! Its a joke. http://www.thefreedictionary.com/joke Do you always jump at opportunities to add your 2c on Christianity? It kind of looks like that every time you do it, you're reacting out of some sort of insecurity in your OWN belief/faith since you see these Christians to be so sure of their beliefs. |

Holy buckets of bear bait or neighbors to be consumed or whatever, I thought both versions had their amusement value. An enlightened bear named yogi! Never caught that before. How come with those pairs, yogi and booboo; pinky and the brain the supposed dumb one always has better common sense? |

BooBoo and Pinky were simpletons ..and received the benefits from their counterparts for being their minion |

Any organization that feels justified by a diving power in judging and persecuting others is a danger, there is no way around it. first of all ...the joke about the bear was sent to me thru an email ... i didn't make it up and it was funny, yet tragic too if you keep looking at all the incorrect things that people do ~ you will miss the importance here that is why it is so imperative to look to God and not to man Man will always fail but God is the Creator of the entire universe ... who are we "His creation " to question his Great & Master plan we can only see a tiny portion of the Great Master's Plan.. how can anyone think that we can look at some miniscule ~ microscopic portion of the design & plan of the entire Universe ~ and even begin to make a judgement or opinion ~ knowing only a tiny fragment of the Great Master's plan and thinking that we are in any position or place to even begin to question His omnipotent authority ??? |

I thought the story was sort of funny... I'm a bit surprised that the Christians like it though- it's actually quite critical of christians IMO. Christians have literally killed and metaphorically "eaten" cultures whose individuals didn't agree with or convert to their beliefs. ACtually, if I think about it too much I don't like the story because I really dislike when one religion is so intolerent of others beliefs. Then again maybe I should just lighten up and laugh at the praying bear? it's a joke with a message ~ dear ... wasn't meant to offend you or anyone I am not intolerant of other people's beliefs... as long as they are not evil & as long as they do not hurt others You have no idea the lifestyles i am exposed to ~ living in California and by the Bay Area although different lifestyles are everywhere ... there are people af all different beliefs who love me cause they see Jesus in me and they know i genuinely love them and i don't judge them ~ God is the Judge and I pray for their eternal salvation |

just because you and i
have not heard of limbs growing back does not negate the possibility that it has happened somewhere we are not aware of or that it will happen in the future and really: her healing had nothing to do with her own ability to heal herself and it had everything to do with faith ... she had ulcers for over 40 years... again... we don't know why God chooses to heal some and not others and what His perfect timing is ~ may not be ours we are the Creation and not the Master Creator it is only by the grace of God that my Mom lives today and she is a pillar of strength and faith in her Lord & Savior ... and she has no doubt where she is going when she passes from this Earth ... so, don't focus on what you think the Lord has not done... focus on the amazing Miracles He has done... do a google search of amazing modren day miracles... search out how many powerful people who denounced Christ all of their lives~ have fiannly found themselves at the foot of the old rugged cross and they have finally finally found their Lord listen to the video of Evel Knieval please it is so touching and beautiful... i challenge all of you who do not acknowledge Christ as Lord to listen to Evel Knieval's amazing testimony before He went Home to be with God at Paster Schuller's Crystal Cathedral |

just because you and i have not heard of limbs growing back does not negate the possibility that it has happened somewhere we are not aware of or that it will happen in the future but the fact remains you can aways hear a story of God healing everything but the obvious woes of the amputee hey I even checked on youtube and behold no videos of limbs growing back...I guess it's up to man to get the job done |
you are missing the bigger picture here ...
the bible talks about straining a gnat and swallowing a camel remove the boulder from your own eye, before you try to take the speck of dirt from someone else's and just because you have not heard of that kind of healing , doesn't mean it hasn't happened ~ please get the pizza off your record... your album keeps skipping dear ... time to move on i'm not going to let you or anyone else sidetrack me and i refuse to lose sight of the bigger picture i have said what i was supposed to say ... i have planted seeds everywhere i could here now, i will leave the rest up to God ... we all have to give an account of our lives one day to our Creator ~ whether we acknowledge Him or not |
you are missing the bigger picture here ... and you are missing the point ..that God and Jesus doesn't answer the prays of the amputee ..instead of denying this fact you should instead should ask yourself why ....oh I forgot..faith requires you not to ask why |
oh please dear ...
you are not getting it.... well, i see that you have no faith ... and you only believe what you see and refuse to admit that all kinds of things <miracles included> happen all the time that you are unaware of and by the way ... just where did men get the brains to do the prosthesis ? oh, i know....you have all the answers... from some freak explosion in the universe or maybe he got his brains from crawling out of the slime with the salamanders |
