ok...gonna throw in something that maybe no one has thought of...
What if your love, the absolute perfect match for you, is ALLERGIC to your pet?? That has nothing to do with asking/expecting. Now.. let me clarify.. I am a pet lover. I have 2 dogs, 2 cats and fish.. I am a foster parent for a few no kill rescue orgs. So, no.. I would NOT even consider re-homing a pet because someone doesn't like em. But is we are talking a real & serious allergic reaction.. then I do not know. I have friends that even with med can only visit me for so long before they are suffering for days on end. I woudl be unkind & unconsiderate to reflect on how that would affect someone that was living with me. Just my musings.....

my dilema is not giving up my doggie for a man, it's giving up my dog for a career change. he would have a loving home with my parents, but i'm stuggling with the idea that i'm going to be HOURS away from him. it making me want to cry thinking about it right now. my new job would involve way too much traveling and time away from home to include him in my new life. this is an opportunity of a lifetime for me, but it comes with sacrifies.

Similar situation here: had to give up my Rottie of 8 years 'cause there are not apartments that accept 100 lb + pets. I still have visitation though. |
