I have been frustrated with the lack of singles activites in my area & would like to meet & make new friends. I came up with the idea of a pot luck dinner once a month sponsored by a different area church to use thier fellowship halls as meeting places & see if I can get friends to donate paper goods (plates, cups, etc.). Do you think this is a good idea? Any suggestions? I'm concerned that not many men will show up? Just looking for some input. Thanks ya'll, Ms.V!

Good luck to you Some Churches have singles group meetings. See if your area has one.

I've done everything but speed dating & I'm not a church going christian. Maybe a coffee house meet up would be better?

speed dating? 5 mins with one person, ask questions, then move on to the next one. 10 dates in one nite.

what the hell is speed dating?? its a bunch of people and tables u spend 5 minutes chatting w a person then u go to next table .u carry around piece of paper and write who'd u like to exchande numbers w.at the end if the person u wrote down and u both wrote u wanted others number u exchange numbers
