That sort of happened to me and he lived two hours away. I"m happy for you but it didn't work for me, he was different in person, it's like he was putting on a show. I wish the best for you!

If I go to talk to them by phone, that FIRST TIME,,,,,yes butterflies and scared, but with-in 5 minutes,,,cool.. Why,,,who knows the reasons but its a first time thing only.. And im the same way at the first meeting in person,,,scared and butterflies for the first 5 minute of conversation, then im me,,,but,,its always there in that first meet....

so many reasons..for one thing, the more you invest emotionally in this person, the more you risk losing. You can't get hurt if you don't get close, and you have allowed yourself some vulnerability. So of course it is scary. It went from fun and games to , oh, I could get hurt. For another thing, sometimes people think that they want to be in a relationship but for complex reasons, they really aren't ready. So they get close and then back away because they get scared. Just a few ideas. I sort of remember back when I had feelings for someone..lo, those many years ago. In the beginning I was very afraid. Looking back, I should have trusted my instincts!!! I completely agree with this! |

Wat can I say Im in that right now. 5hr talks on the phone in th middle of the night. Been like this for weeks. Begin to wander how can we talk for so long each day and yet still have so much left to talk about. Scarred hell ya. Looking to meet next week. The question is is it gonna be the same or will meeting end whats so good. Only one way to find out though

Its scary and exciting all wound up together in one big jumbled sea of emotions! To me sometimes I think its an addictive feeling. After getting to know someone and settling in, I miss that feeling. Or maybe I just have commitment issues.. not sure.
