A star

As I sit alone today,
A thought came in from far away.
It speaks of life and holding hands,
It speaks of strength with no demands.

The words of life, as I do see,
It speaks to me of family.
It speaks the things of normal too,
I’ll walk alone, then think of who?

I look above to see a star,
A place I seek is from afar.
I reach to find that star above,
I seek to find a thing called Love,

I saw a person days ago,
Along a beach I do not know.
She did walk alone that day,
Along with pets I think she may.

She sees a love she needs to seek,
A man with heart, and soul to speak.
This man is not unknown to her,
She sees a face yet it’s a blur.

Do I know if this is true,
Yet somehow now I think of who?
I do not know if words will last,
We think of things already past

I seek to find that someone new,
I wonder if that someone’s you.
I cannot send these words today,
They are strong, may scare away.

So when you read these words I write,
The path I see there is a light.
A path I know it will be true,
A light that guides from me to you.


I do not write these words for some,
They are my soul and life as one.
I will send these words someday,
To that lady from far away.

She will know my words are true,
I’ll wait months to see it through.
The smile she bears will be refreshed,
To find that one that hearts refreshed.

I wonder when I’ll send these words,
To this lady, that soars with birds.
She may question my words, my soul,
She will ask yet she will know.

The words I speak and words I write,
Are from a soul that sees a light.
This light it shines all through the mile,
This light I see it’s a big smile.

This smile from dreams are from the past,
That special one of love that lasts.
To find a thing from far above,
A hope, a dream, a star of love.
