I look at it this way, now if you want attention all you have to do is post a thread in the rate my profile section. That way no more out in the other threads if you don't want to see the attention getting posts

I suggested a Literary forum, but instead they create a new forum for something we already have a forum for.

Really can't anyone think of anything....with maybe some depth to it. We are talking shallow topics in this rate me crap.

I already know how most people feel about me by the limited activity I get in my mailbox.But I posted there anyways.

You have a point... I just get tired of seeing them in the "recent posts" and I'm always dumb enough to click on them thinking it's something different.. I'll just have to learn to ignore them...

The name and focus should be changed to "REVIEW my profile"

So people can get input and suggestions for improving their chances of finding someone.

Now I'm putting motivations into someone else's head here but I'd be willing to bet that was the intention of admin with that forum.

Not that it would really matter much, the drama kings and queens would still treat it pretty much the same way.

Monosyllabic Girl suggested a Science and Reasoning forum over in the Feedback section -- which I personally think would be a great thing -- but, from a practical standpoint, I don't know how viable the more "cerebral" forums would be.

I would love to have a place to discuss philosophy and literature and science, but how many people would actually use it?

I do agree with Lulu that it's a good thing to get the "Rate Me" stuff out of General. If we can confine all of those posts into one place (and it's going to be a bit of a struggle until everybody gets used to it), it will free up the other forums for topics of a less self-indulgent nature. Hypothetically, anyway.

I'm conceited and self centered so I posted in the "rate me "forum.See ya in the "so sue me"forum..
I would enjoy some cerebral fare myself.There are a lot of intellectuals here and I love to learn.
