Topic: A Howl In The Night | |
---|---|
A Howl In The Night I walk these paths and hills Taking in the night air, The pads on my paws Are sore from the wear. I walk during the night By the light of the moon, Hoping to find my soul mate Before I give up too soon. I take a chance to rest At a nearby stream, I supple the fresh water Take a nap and I dream. I dream of the pack I once belonged too, That shunned me away For the love I ensued. Taking in the night air As I wake from my sleep, The sadness that I feel From inside so deep. I howl in the night As my signal to you, The long drone of howls Is all I know to do. Daylight breaks The morning painted sky, Hues of pink and purple That brings a tear to my eye. Will I ever find you Across these plains so wide, To share my love With someone to truly confide. |

Searching for you in the night air
I take flight desparate to find you. Listening for you to call The sound is so lonesome My heart beats faster as I fly Closer comes the sound and I feel you are near. I see you with your head up searching the stars for me. Here I am my love I call as I circle above you, gently gliding down to be beside you, and you cease to howl. Love you darlin.. loved this poem too. |

Over 30 yrs, that's wonderful. Ur self-confidence is admirable. Don't ever loose it. do you ever do submissions or plan on compiling a book?
