Silent Tears

Last night before I went to bed,
Thoughts of you filled my head.
Though I have not felt this way in many years,
On my pillow fell some tears.

The first one fell for your smile I miss
The second for lips I long to kiss.
A third was for your angelic face,
A fourth for your loving embrace.

The fifth came as no surprise,
When I thought of your beautiful eyes.
A sixth fell on my shoulder rolling,
It should have been you there I was holding.

The seventh fell for one reason alone,
My love for you was never fully shown.
I really love and miss you my dear
And there it was a eighth silent tear.
