Looking for insight into my creative soul? This is a short story I wrote a few days ago and has some deep metaphors about me and my personality in it. If you only skim the surface you can't see under the reef. If you think you really understand or you just want to talk to me about the story and tell me what you think (i haven't written many, been trying out new forms of art lately) just send me a message.
(not a call for a pity party or any other stupid dramatic nonsense, this is artistic expression) A lost boy walks down a putrid alley dragging a stuffed teddy bear along behind him with one hand, he barely has the strength to carry his friend any further but he refuses to leave him behind. What was his name? The young boy can't remember anymore... What was that rumbling? A monster must be nearby, the young boy starts to run when suddenly a sharp pain in his stomach causes him to stop. His memory is fuzzy for some reason. How long until he last ate something? Two days ago the pizza place threw out a 1/2 eaten piece of pizza. All he has left is a few crumbs but as he reaches into his pocket to eat it he hears something echo off the brick walls of his secluded alley. *Meow* The boy raises his stare from his growling stomach to this new monster. *MEEOOW* The boy cringes and holds the teddy bear closely to his chest and tears stream down his face unabashed. Out of the shadows the feline emerges and rubs against the boy's legs, now convinced that this creature isn't a monster he reaches down to pet her. *purr* The cat looks up at the boy with big eyes and licks her lips. "She must be hungry!", the boy thinks. But the boy doesn't have anything to give her except a few crumbs still in his pocket. Selflessly he hands out everything he has. The cat takes the food and runs off back into the alley and into the darkness. Heartbroken, save his teddy companion the little lost boy is all alone again. http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o9/Korr_the_reaper/867869349_l.jpg artwork by Mel of eco arts |
