“It Makes Me Wonder”
I sit here looking at the wall. And think about the past as I recall. The loves that was lost. And what it cost. I wonder at times. Were they nothing but games? To the ones I was with. And is true love all but a myth? Will we really ever know? And find that one that will show. There love they have within. And know to show it is not a sin. Will there ever be one? That my heart they have won. Will they really be there to stay? Or in fact is it in the cards for them to stray. Will heaven send sprinkles of star dust? And a love I can trust. Is it too much to ask? And why should love feel like a task? Why is it that we must try so hard? Then our hearts are left scarred. Why can’t love just flow? And to others we can show. What love is all about. And not have all the doubt. Why must we ask why? Then once more have to try. Just to sit and wonder. And ponder. When will it be that day? A love will come to stay.
