maybe someone could tell me why in a world where so many women dislike beauty pageants and porn, beauty reality tv is able to thrive? ya know, all those model shows and make over/plastic surgery ones.

are those things not similar? the "objectification" of women? or is it too gray?

i don't see how they're much different.

understand that i'm speaking in broad generalizations, it's the best way to make a point when you only halfway know what you're talking about.

Because as much as we dislike beauty pageants and porn....we like seeing the imperfections of the "beautiful ones" just a little bit more.

Truth is, Toasted, I guess I'm a live-and-let-live person. If someone wants to siliconize herself, get nekkid in front of a camera, wave and walk an aisle in a swimsuit, bump uglies for money.. who am *I* to tell her no?

As long as the woman is able to make her own choices and she freely has the ability to say yea or nay, is it MY place to tell her she can't do something with her own body?

Real men don't need porn, and it destroys families and actually means that a man can't handle a real relationship. Pageants are cheesy and fake. Beauty should be based within, but so many are shallow, it's pathetic.

i don't agree at all. females like porn as well, in fact some healthy relationships involve porn and sexual freedom. porn only destroys relationships if it's a problem for either partner.

humans are shallow, it's how we've made it to this point. natural selection and the passing down of traits through genetic selection.

I agree. A lot of women only look at their flaws and think thats why i didnt get the job, or thats why i dont have a boyfriend. Why would we want to look at women who are beautiful and gorgeous when some of us are not?

a lot of the so called beautiful and gorgeous women aren`t so beautiful or gorgeous. Most of them have the personality of a damn duck, and are ugly as a tickturd inside. Give me a woman with flaws ..We all have flaws. Not one of us is perfect.Thats why when we get into a relationship, we build and grow upon our differences.They are building blocks to a great relationship..Thank you for letting me have my say.

this is true but a lot of gorgous and beautiful women are really smart to. Everyone has their flaws and you should love 'em for it.

I totally agree with you lonelyshorty I was just making a point about what most men chase after. They find out that Barbie doll isn`t what all Barbie doll is all cracked up to be. I do respect and love everyone. The relationship that I have with Jesus Christ tells me to Love people as He loves them.
