An Uncle's Life (1/3/08)

I just learned on New Year's that my sister is pregnant so I am becoming an uncle for the FIRST TIME! I am so excited!

I heard it on
New Year's Day
I knew this year
Would be great
It changed me
In a very good way
Come summer time
I will be happy

The news was quick
And it was a kick
In the head
Awoke me from the dead
Now I have life
Now I have my mind
It's set on summer time

They will come
They will be born
They will bring a smile
That is bright and warm
No one can stop me
From becoming what I want to be
And in my dreams
I start to weep
At an uncle's life I must lead
