OK - I love movies. A very wide variety of movies but especially comedies. So I am going to restrict myself to some of the less often mentioned ones...but I could absolutely go on all night about favorite films and comedic moments.
W. C. Fields was the best in my opinion. I enjoy nearly all of his movies. If I had to pick one I'd probably have to go with "It's A Gift". Laughed so hard I cried. Most of his others are also hilarious many of the best moments in comedy. Mae West was incredible in all her movies but she and Fields were forced together in "My Little Chickadee". Barbara Stanwyck also especially in "Ball of Fire". Cary Grant of course - "Arsenic and Old Lace" and "Holiday". Jimmy Stewart in "You Can't Take It With You" and "Harvey" oh so many. The Marx Bros. "Horsefeathers". These are the classics. Of more recent production there is always Peter Sellers - "Dr. Strangelove", "Shot In The Dark/Pink Panther" and "Being There". Rodney Dangerfield "Caddyshack" and "Back to School". Billy Bob Thornton "Bad Santa". Woody Allen's "Manhattan" and "Curse of the Jade Scorpion". Dan Ackroyd in "Dr. Detroit", "Trading Places", "The Couch Trip", and "My Stepmother is an Alien". Walter Matthau in "A New Leaf" and "Fortune Cookie", "Front Page" with Jack Lemmon of course, and "Sunshine Boys" with George Burns speaking of which "Going in Style" and "18 Again". There is "Raising Arizona", "Groundhog Day", "The Jerk" "Addams Family + Values", "Beetlejuice", "Airplane", "The Thin Man Series", "Start the Revolution Without Me", "Wedding Crashers", "My Favorite Year" and "Oh Brother Where Art Thou" and well if I don't stop soon I'll be at it forever so I will end with...."The Importance of Being Earnest" with Michael Redgrave, Michael Denison and Dorothy Tutin. |

When I first saw Dumb & Dumber I almost wet my shorts.
Groundhog Day I found very funny. OH I forgot Caddyshack, SO many comedians in 1 movie. The scene in Me, Myself & Irene when Jim Carrey has dry mouth, my stomach hurt from laughing. |
