Well the elephants just stand there
Throwing water on themselves And the monkeys just hang around Like knick knacks on a shelf The wolves and the coyotes Bathe in the shadowed light And the bats are resting up Getting ready for the night The zebras start getting restless As the sun begins to set And the polar bears start swimming Getting used to being wet And when the last person leaves And the keeper turns off the lights There's going to be a party For the animals tonight Well the owl starts a callin' Who,who, who who is going to come But the monkeys and the lions Are already having fun The polar bears and dolphins Are dancing in the pool And the hyenas are laughing At the Hippo playing fool A chameleon was talking About the latest fashion trends Telling all the penguins That casual was in A Pelican had stumbled Spilling cool aid on a skunk So they had to move the party Before it really stunk. Well the crocks were a rockin' While the emus sang the blues The kangaroo were dancing In their massive dancing shoes And all night long the animals Danced and had their fun But too soon it was over 'cause it was almost dawn They headed back to their cages Closing gates and resting up As the keeper comes walking in Weary eyed and waking up He spots a leopard just laying there With a smile on its face He had no clue, but me and you Know exactly what took place. |
