She never actually said "you're not even a man "
It was more the feeling it left me when she said you're not God. We had about 10 years of a tumultuous relationship, another 10 years of tumultuous marriage, and 10 more years of living together. The song was written in the first 10 years part, and the feeling at the time was spurred by an affair with my best friend she was having at the time, and an argument we were having.

This is a well composed reflective expression.
