I will take the hype in terms of money and bowl tie ins at this point. But you are right I think often players are looked down on if they are not from a major conference when there is a ton of talent out there. Kevin Smith of UCF and Chris Johnson of ECU put together two of the better seasons in a long time for running backs in the nation. In the first half Boise State had no answer for Johnson at all.

Don't forget Matt Forte! He had a stellar season and will be in the NFL next year.

For sure I was amazed with some of the numbers he put up. The fact that CUSA has three players of that caliber at running back says a lot for the talent we have.

Yup... then you look at the QB talent that has come out of the MAC... guys like Big Ben and Josh Cribbs... etc. There's talent in every conference, that's for sure.

I think ALL these bowl games should be done and over with before the new years starts.
The NCAA it's all about the "student athlete"......sure it is. |
