Falling in love takes time... If a person I merely chatted w/on line and never met told me they loved me red flags would be popping like popcorn. I hope I never get so lonely I would jump at anything. But I don't judge anyone what ever it takes to get you through. Wishing everyone love and happy New year

I recently have experienced this situation. I think that you can have feelings for someone that you have never met in person. Don't we just wish that someone would fall in love with us spiritually and emotionally and not just physically. I think you should go with what makes you feel good. If it is meant to be it will and don't close your heart just because of the lack of a face to face meeting. JMO
Good luck and I wish you all the best ![]() |

i think it is. i think its different. you can fall in love with a person's heart instead of based on the immediate physical attraction. just as a friend you have online. you dont know what they look like, what their habits are, etc...but you love them for who they are, not what they are.

The only thing I can say it what out for the 'best foot forward' thing - no matter how much people say they dont play games, most of them put on their sunday best and give you what you want to hear, and in the cold hard reality of everyday life, things just aren't that rosy.
But, I am a romantic, and I havent given up on love yet - I am just more timid and careful about it! Good luck! Miss Jane |

I think you can develop deep friendships for a person online, but I don't think, at least I couldn't, fall in love with someone I had never met face-to-face. Online, and over the phone, you are dealing with what they want you to know about them, (their fantasy or illusion they project) you have not met them, been around them to see any of their habits, you don't know the "real" them.
I guess I am too distrusting, but I would never turn my heart over to someone without meeting them and spending time with them to know who they really are. How do I know they are not an ex-con, wife beater, abusive alcoholic, drug addict, etc., these kind of things can be hidden behind a computer screen and telephone. I need to look into someone's eyes and spend time with them before I would ever give my heart over to someone. My thoughts anyways. |

i don't see how it is possible to fall in love with someone if you haven't met them in person to be honest with you. What if when you met and you found he/she smells repulsive or something like that. I don't think you will be in love after that stench hits you like a bag of bricks. That's just me though.
