Foggy Day
The open curtains reveal the morning's gloomy cold filling with the room with a laziness that seems to have painted the mirror blue leaving my reflection to search for the sunlight's broken promise Staring at the lingering mist makes me want to drown in the comforts of my bed but alas with dread I gently move from the sea of blankets to the kitchen to brew enough warmth that an unmotivated Saturday morning requires Quiet fills the room as the rest of the household enjoys the riches of dreams and I awakened by duty to what will soon be the noise of children and a grumpy hungry spouse get one last vestige of inner peace as the coffee's aroma entwined with the foggy day prepares me for what comes next . . . life |

Loved the way it goes in a flow and brought a smile as I too go through those moments during weekends
Lovely lines below which made me read it again, "leaving my reflection to search for the sunlight's broken promise," "lingering mist makes me want to drown in the comforts of my bed," |
