I home for another month and a half before going back to school, my parents have gone to a friends batch (batch= holiday house in NZ) until Jan 2...I home with my sister, shes 14 so I dont think shes gonna be to painting the town red..

Things like this used to phase me out and bring me down; birthdays, valentines, christmas, new years etc etc.

So if you're going to be 'alone' this New years, just remember that you arent.

just me and my kidlike every other holiday. but thats alright, he's better company then most every girl i've dated.

I r gonna be alone, again this year--god i hate the holidays as a single person!!!!!

i am all alone as well so its no worries. i have 36 family members that are going to be going to privite camp grounds and doing what ever during new years and i cant go because of work so i feel you.

Im going to be alone...completly alone and its depressing the h*ll out of me!

Well... my fiance's overseas... and my parents are taking my kids because it'll be their last new years together before we move... but going out doesn't feel right... so I will be sitting at my house alone. Better than getting hit on by some freaky drunks and blowing a bunch of money I don't have...

I have my daughter this year so I won't be alone. Probably be watching a barbie movie or something, lol.

Normally I just watch the year on my clock turn over and go to bed.. I'll take a barbie movie over that any year.

Which Barbie Movie? I've had the Princess & The Pauper and The 12 Dancing Princesses playing over and over... sadly my 4 year old has the majority of the Barbie movies... and she and my 7 year old son watch them ENDLESSLY. So I will NOT be playing Barbie movies. I will be watching my clock and then going to bed.

You know, I found out something a LONG time ago...you don;t have to be "alone" at new years!!!

It does not take much at all..just a little step and you can be among happy people.

Now it may not be that "special someone", but hey, good people and not being "alone" is a great thing.

All it takes is going up to someone and starting a conversation. Lots of public places have things going on..just go to one, then introduce yourself around. Usually you will find a group of people that you can have fun with and bring in the new year with a smile and some laughs.

Don't worry, most people don;t bite and if you have a good attitude and a decent personality, all you have to is start the conversation.

It's just that easy.
