Topic: oil?. well we had some, but.... | |
---|---|
Biden is now in contact with other oil producing countries to see if they will be able to increase output and serve Europe should Russia cut production to retaliate against any sanctions.
The Middle East, Asia were mentioned along with the U.S. I'm guessing Biden is regretting canceling the Keystone pipeline right about now. you know the one he canceled on his 2nd day in office to appease the green folks, and without giving any serious though into the long term ramifications of that move. We used to be oil independent.. now we are not. Where are you going to get the oil from Joe.. and at what price. This is just one reason why the word " incompetent " started to be thrown around... worldwide |

A friend who has a finger a little closer to to the pulse said oil will probably go to $100 a barrel. I haven't kept up with it for awhile so that may be common knowledge

I don't see any indication that it will go down...and stay down. This industry, like every industry is run on supply and demand. when the demand goes up so does the prices.
And these oil producing countries are not going to just increase production with out a premium price tacked on.. Biden went from " we will reduce our oil consumption!!..to begging OPEC to produce more oil for us to now purchase.. in less then 1 year. |

Yes, and there are a lot of players. I'm for some of these countries going back to the stone age and no immigration

There are alot of players and Russia and China have alot of leverage and influence. There is no garentee that just because Biden asks for more oil.. they will give more oil. I don't think many world leaders actually respect or trust him.
If oil is cut to Europe in the winter months it could be deadly. I have been to Germany a few times in the winter... very very cold. |

Good reasons to start seriously thinking about solar and wind power.

I'm all for solar and wind power. Any alternative or substitute for oil is good, but we are neive to think we will not need oil. oil is used every manufacturing industry. Most every machine needs oil. Even some of our meds are petroleum based. Rubber, plastics, hydrolics, lubricants.. oil...oil..oil.

Crude oil price on November 9, 2020 was $40.93.
Crude oil price on January 22, 2021 was $55.22. Crude oil price as I'm writing this $85.07 Biden shut down the Keystone XL pipeline on his first day in office. Biden stopped oil and natural gas leasing activities in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR) with an executive order signed on January 20, his first day in the Oval Office. August 2021 Biden’s National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan issued a statement on urging OPEC to move faster to restore global supply of gasoline to pre-pandemic levels. Biden and his administration response to soaring oil and gasoline prices.....blaming big oil. “I do not accept hard-working Americans paying more for gas because of anti-competitive or otherwise potentially illegal conduct,” Biden said in his letter to the Federal Trade Commission. Stop the Keystone XL pipeline, stop permits for oil and natural gas, take NO RESPONSIBILITY and blame the higher prices on someone else. You can't make this stuff up. Just how stupid does Biden and his administration think people are? Does Biden think that people wouldn't remember what he did within hours of taking office?? Oh wait, maybe Biden doesn't remember what he did within hours of taking office....or he didn't know what the those pieces of paper called executive orders were about. |

well yes, he thinks we are very stupid.
Right before Thanksgiving he announced in grand style the release of 50 million gallons of oil from the national reserve. This to bring the price of gas down...which it did. about $0.10 a gallon. And soon as we burnt thru that the price went right back up. A smoke and mirror very short term fix to a problem he created. But remember he is smart. we are not. now the national reserve is just that.. to be used as a fall back in case of a catastrophic event or war it is a insurance policy. The Biden administration added that the " borrowed" oil will be replaced.. over the years. A smoke and mirrors insult to our intelligence |

obama cracked our fuel reserves while he was in office. It got replaced when Trump's move to open up our oil deposits. Now that doofus is making a mess, replacement won't happen until another conservative gets elected to office.

While I do believe Biden's actions on his first day in office is largely to blame for the current oil and gas prices he isn't solely responsible for the lower oil output in the United States.
https://www.forbes.com/sites/joewalsh/2022/01/27/judge-tosses-out-offshore-oil-leases-signed-by-biden-administration/?sh=4b2112052a8e In June ------------- "a federal judge reversed that moratorium in June, arguing the Biden Administration didn’t have the authority to unilaterally stop signing new leases nationwide, and ordered that previously scheduled lease sales in the Gulf should go forward." January 2022 --------------- A federal judge rescinded oil and gas leases for a wide swath of the Gulf of Mexico on Thursday, arguing the government failed to consider their impact on climate change before they were auctioned off late last year, a win for environmental groups that have pushed the Biden Administration to stop signing new leases. --------------- One ruling based on "authority" and one ruling based on a consideration of a hypothetical "impact on climate change". One ruling by an Obama appointed judge and one ruling by a Trump appointed judge. I'm sure most people can guess which ruling came from which judge. |
