Topic: Some babies were held,,, | |

Makes me wonder what parent would allow their baby to be used for such a test, and even why they did it. Those babies that didn't get touched will never recover... Human touch is very important and also what is often lacking in this world when you're single. I read about this disgusting scientific experiment. They were orphans Crystal The thing I really cannot understand... mostly it was women that had to look after children in an orphanage. How on earth can any woman be so hotdanged cold and crude to children? I've rarely heard good stories about orphanages, it was always horror, being locked up, getting hit, not enough food and so on, and certainly no love. How can a woman do that? I know I sure as hell couldn't treat children that way. Psychopaths perhaps? They only care about themselves. |

My daughter fostered children who were neglected as babies by their parents. They were greatly affected by abandonment and all carried long lasting implications through to their adulthood. Nurture is so very important for young children and without it can leave them with psychological damage.
My daughter adopted one of these children when the child was 16 (after fostering her for many years). She’s now 24 and still has trust issues. Thanks DI I myself spent yrs in an orphanage here in Saint Paul MINNESOTA Saint Paul home for children 1959, yes I have my LIONS share of issues but I gone to meny Doctors SENCE THEN but I want to tell you all this that orphanage was a great place to grow up the nuns to me Under there wing and I learned EARLY about other orphans from over seas we all became good friends there one nun I especially loved was a sister Evangeline she told me stories about how the orphan train had drop these kids off in the USA, DI I remember going back home to my family I felt out of place and I was I wanted to go back to sister Evangeline nothing was ever the same I'm not looking for attention just someone out here that UNDERSTANDS my story, Bev |

Sadly, at least here in UK, the majority of children’s homes (as we call them) did not have the children’s best interest at heart and were cruel, devoid of any affection and often torturous institutions. There are still cases ongoing today in courts for compensation they suffered. You were blessed to have been placed in an orphanage that cared and nurtured young children. Thank you for sharing |

I think they must have no compassion or empathy. Even animal experiments are sick. @Ladywind, Yes they don't have any compassion, it's faceless governments... I agree animal experiments are bad too... |

Human touch is very important and also what is often lacking in this world when you're single. In China, during the one child policy, lots of baby girls were given to orphanages so that the parents could try again for a boy. Many of the baby orphans were never held and experienced failure to thrive. Very sad. |

My Mom wasn't very physical with me, but we really did talk a lot. She never, that I recall, ever said she loved me. But I knew it, and that was enough for me.
Once my dad started selling, he was gone most evenings. That was when she started teaching me card games. We sat and planned camping vacations together. I always went shopping with her. I helped her with chores, we cooked dinners, I helped canning. The physical touching, we never did. It was our way. |

Hi everyone big thanks redrider, it's so different with everyone I've always enjoyed HUGGS as a little child and as an adult I crave HUGGS&KISSES from my significant other we can't choose our family but I have extended family some have passed away but they loved me like there own but I had to leave my comfort zone and learn to communicate the love that was given to me, I still am a special Ed teacher I graduated from Concordia state university with a Bachelor's in sociology, phyic,1, 2, these studies are Real,I remember one such study on school age young children, the teacher here in the USA, divided the children into to groups, blue eyed kids on one side of the classroom, the Brown eyes kids on the other side of the classroom, the blue eyed kids were played attention to the brown eyed kids were ignored yes the brown kids became angry most withdrew, as, Educator's, parents, adults we have the power to change our behavior, my Final thoughts are you can be anything you aspire to be no matter how you grew up I'm not here for a
Popularity contest I have shared my story all over this country I'm not lucky I'm blessed a Christian and HONEY today in the real world it's not always popular to stand up for GOD or for those people less fortunate someone stood up for all of the orphans of this world and I will always love, love, saint mother Thersa my grandchildren and were at the beach I saw some nuns with ABOUT twenty something kids MY grandchildren had never seen nuns before or ophfins but that day we were at the right place that day Gramama had shared her story with them so I don't think it hit home until they played with the kids and shared there snacks we had plenty chips cookies, juice thank god for my cooler I guess you could say I loved just being myself,Coldersky minus the halo lol, |
