Hi Beach! Thank you for the compliment. I think. I guess it's me being Dutch and down to earth, plus I don't like political correctness. See too much of that around everywhere. I don't like in-authenticity. I can certainly find myself in that quote! Think Barbra Streisand... Tommy Flanagan... and the biggest example that moves me to tears as it's so sad... Jennifer Grey who was in Dirty Dancing. She had extensive plastic surgery done as she felt horribly ugly and insecure because of it. You wouldn't even recognise her anymore. And even though she's aesthetically pleasing to look at... she totally lost that unique beauty she still had in Dirty Dancing. She was gorgeous in imperfection. Perfect examples, especially Jennifer Grey. So prefer the "before picture"! Along the same line: The Jacksons losing their relatabilty. Michael and LaToya are obvious. A bit more subtle. although undeniably still pretty, I think Janet was absolutely gorgeous in "Rhythm Nation" days with a more full nose and a little more weight. |

If the imperfection is small and I get a big enough discount on it I will always go with the bargain! As far as people imperfections make us who we are.

I accept people for who they are. We are all not perfect and never will be. we are who we are.

Topic: Do imperfections matter to you ? This topic suggests to me that someone knows what "perfection" is because I don't...perhaps there is somewhere an accepted/recognized definition of a "perfect" human body or "perfect" hair/nose/eyes/behaviour/ etc so that comparisons can be made...sigh...From experience I do know what many call "beauty" is in the eye of the beholder... |

Depends what kind of imperfections we're talking about. If it's the kind that hinders our growth and development as a couple, then it's an obvious deal breaker. Otherwise, they can and should be tolerable as I have a fair share of my own.
