Why Men Fall Asleep After Sex (and Women Don't)

IT’S A CHEMICAL THING.

As per the article 'After orgasm, both men and women release the chemicals oxytocin, prolactin, gamma amino butyric acid (GABA), and endorphins.

Each of these contributes to that roll-over-and-snore feeling.'

If these hormones didn't kick in, then men would be like praying mantises: The males keep copulating even after they're decapitated by their lovers.

My friend fainted after having sex with his wife, I asked why you fainted after doing that, he replied "I was hit with a big hammer" ... after hearing that I fainted.

Because women don't get hit by the 'big hammer' often - as Roy mentioned;
maybe it takes hammer to release those hormones.

THE SEX'S ARE NOT EXACTLY THE SAME......MEN FEEL THEY NEED A

PHYSICAL RELEASE WHILE ITS MORE EMOTIONAL FOR A WOMAN.....MEN'S

HORMONAL LEVELS HIGHER IN MORNINGS AND WOMEN'S LEVELS ARE HIGHER

IN EVENINGS......THEY DO NOT THINK ABOUT SEX AS MUCH AS WE DO....I

HAVE HAD WOMEN TELL ME THAT THERE WERE TIMES WHEN THEY WERE REALLY

NOT IN THE MOOD AND THEN WHILE THEY WERE DOING IT THEY GOT IN THE

MOOD.....AND A LOT MORE DIFFERENCES......

Hi Jaish..I did laugh when I read it as I thought about these reality examples --

1 - start of the day morning routine (sex, shower, breakfast, work)
2 - afternoon delight (planned or unplanned followed by return to work)
3 - Party, social gathering (secluded room, closet, whatever followed by a return to the festivities)
4 - car date (back seat, front seat, picnic blanket, pickup bed, RV (whenever the opportunity door opens)
5 - Hit-n-Run (no explanation needed)
6 - Pay to play (on the clock...no time to snooze)

Most if not all of the above seldom include sleep afterwards...LOL drinker

maybe.. I do fall asleep after just a few minuets of turning on any sports... they knock me right out. could that be related to this study??

I could explain the differences from a medical perspective but it may make your head spin biggrin waving
