I started reading myths and legends from around the world in grade school, started studying mythology in jr. high and comparative religion in high school and college.

I came to the conclusion that religions are created by man to address most of the same spiritual believes you will find around the world. The for of the religion is based on the culture and society that developed in different areas along different lines to meet different sociological needs for those peoples.

I've no issue with Satanists. Only I believe their brand of religion is intricately connected to christianity, that it is an outcry against what Christians say must be. Because it is a religion focused around an entity that is near the core of christianity. Not the core of it, just near it.

Why also is there no evidence of Jesus within Roman records?

There is. See Flavius Josephus, "The Antiquities of the Jews," 18.3.3.

It's pretty clear who they're talking about!

Although many experts believe that Josephus' original wording was "edited" at some point.

I myself am an atheist, but I find this account interesting.

Christian apologists are the only ones still appealing to Josephus to make their case not scholars.

First, we don't have any first century copies of the "Antiquities." Second, scholars conclude that the passage is a 4th century interpolation most likely committed by Eusebius. The passage doesn't even fit the literary context. Lastly, Origen (a third century theologian) quoted Josephus extensively, but never once mentioned that passage. That's very strange for one who is trying to preach the gospel of Jesus.

Ok, Ok listen Josephus in his original text never even acknowleged Jesus as the messiah. That was added by scribes later. Sorry, guys. Its the truth. But that does not negate the truth of the fact that even Satan and his angels acknoledge Jesus as the Christ, the one and only Son of God. Satan is a fallen angel, one who thought he could take over God's position and was cast out of heaven. He has already been defeated. It's already written in the book of Relvelation. His fate is sealed along with anyone who so chooses to follow him. So, worship him if you wish, God gives all this freedom of choice. But as a follower of Christ, I pray that you wouldn't.
