I think I'm doing something wrong.

I could take the avalanche of views and matches with offers of sexy times and naked pictures from the 23-27 year old hot chicky babes as proof I have the most awesome profile, but I'd rather connect with someone closer to my age.

Any tips?

Good job but can be improved further if you also write about the type of person you’re seeking.

Good luck.

A lot read activity partner as sex , always thought it a stupid description, if you want someone to play golf, tennis ,go walking with it is easy to ask for such,

I would add another photo or two without a hat on. Also it appears you are looking for casual, you mention dating and activity partner, personally myself and maybe other women avoid those profiles if marriage isn't included, especially when activity partner is listed, sounds too casual and not serious.

I agree with Delightful, it looks good although you might consider adding something about the kind of woman you're looking for.

I looked into this a bit more. It wouldn't have occurred to me that 'activity partner' was a euphemism for friend with benefits, especially since there is an intimate encounter option.

I've taken that off my profile now. Hopefully, it will impact the algorithm that keeps sending bots to my profile.

I do state in my description I'm not looking for a hook-up. Do you think use of that word is also being picked up by the algorithm and generaing bot traffic?

I personally don’t take ‘activity partner’ as a euphemism for friends with benefits for the same reasons as outlined by yourself. As for removing ‘not looking for hookups’; leave it in as I really think that lots of people just don’t read profiles or choose to ignore that statement. Put it this way, any person genuinely interested in you WILL read your full profile.

I'm not interested in marriage and I'm not going to lie to generate more interest. As far as long-term committed relationships are concerned, I suppose
I could check the box. That is the underlying motivation behind joining sites like this. I guess I'm just stuck in the old-fashioned notion that friendships and dating,(and activity partners!), are part of the natural progression to relationships and marriage.

That's how my last relationship started 17 years ago. Just chatting with each other over common interests in an interest specific chat room. We didn't even know what the other looked like for a few months until we got web cameras. Neither one of us was looking for anything more, but love did blossom and we flew across oceans to be with each other. I eventually moved to a new country and had a wonderful life with my partner and our family for a decade and a half until her untimely death.

Now there's a testimonial! :smiley::smiley:

I guess what I'd really like would be a "Looking for lightning to strike twice" option.

Is there a way to format the text in our Profile Blurb? I've tried to break it up several times, but it reverts back to one paragraph after saving.

Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately not. The site removed the formatting function a while back for whatever reason. The only other way is to use symbols to separate your paragraphs. I use dots; not ideal but at least it breaks the text up.
