A Brand New Year

A resolution for a brand new year,
Will I keep it, without any fear?
Will I break my promise to myself
Or will I just put it on a shelf?
I've got to be strong this time
Careful where I spend that dime.
Will I make a promise to lose weight
Or will I just procrastinate?
Will I give up that one last smoke
Or will it be just another joke?
Will I finish that novel I just wrote?
Yes I will, there's a whip, take note.
Will I finally be with my true love?
You better believe it, my white dove.
2008, is going to be my year
Keeping it without any fear.
I hope it will be yours, for all
When that Big Ball in NY will fall.

I have a new job prospect that I am considering, so 2008 could bring change of employment for me.
