Many people have been affected by this wonderful band and lots of us still think about Kurt and what he would be doing now if he hadn't pulled the trigger. How many of you were affected by this phenomenon? If you're one of the many then please list your favorite song (by Nirvana) and if you want let us know how you've been affected by their music.
"Milk it" is one of my favorites but there are many... "Spank Thru" is another... |

Yeah, there's lots of conspiracy theories but that's a matter of a different topic. No need for that here. He's dead. It's ok now. Just wanna know who the band has inspired. Nirvana was more than just Kurt. I hate that he's gone but he is. They have inspired much of the music I write to this day and I'm sure many others feel the same way. |

Kurt's death was a tragedy, but Nirvana's sound was very unique and it's sad we'll never hear anything new from them. However, the death of Nirvana led to Dave Grohl founding the Foo Fighters which are also a great band. Someone's life is more important than a new band, but since Kurt did pass away, we have to look at any positives there might be.

I loved "Never Mind" just as much as anybody else, but the nonsense of Kurt Cobain being some kind of messiah is absolutley absurd. Nirvana was a decent punk rock band that hit at the right time with the right kind of publicity/promotion. "Nevermind" is, at best, a very good punk rock album.
If Kurt Cobain were alive today, he would be embarrassed by the ammount of ass kissing that has gone on pertaining to his work. I think that had a lot to do with him taking the cowards way out and shooting himself, leaving a wife and child behind to fend for themselves. Nirvana was great, but they're not even in the discussion. |

that being said, "Rape Me", and two covers-- "Jesus Doesn't Want Me for a Sunbeam" and "Man Who Sold the World".
Not trying to be a ****, but as a musician myself, just felt Nirvana was way over-rated-- I think Kurt felt that way himself... |

Nirvana was a good band, but I wasn't affected by them. I still and always will enjoy my hard rock/metal. They did have some good songs though
