I told my girlfriend last night i would
feel uncomfortable meeting her family for the frist time on christmas day i want to make a good impression but i feel like i would be quiet and uptight meeting all them all at one time. is that wrong ? and now she not talking to me.. what do i do ? |

Think I would go for the Christmas day thing.....Lets face it most of the folks there will have all had a few drinks and will not even know you the next day

dont worry about the good impression, she wants to be with you and proud to introduce her to her family, go and be yourself, be by her side during the holidays, and u can meet them all at once and get it over with, ( like killing two birds with one stone).........merry christmas........

she's probably hurt because she wanted to show you off...if she thought you couldn't handle the situation or it would make everyone uncomfortable...duh...she wouldn't have asked you to come...it's christmas!!!! love, laughter, food, drink, celebrating...a big party!!! how could that be a setting for quiet and uptight...man, she needs a new b/f

I am sure if your girlfriend thought it would turn out bad for you guys to meet then.....she wouldn't have asked you..

I feel ya on this, I always am at my most reclusive state when it's a crowd of strangers, I don't do so well at real life social situations. Nothing wrong with it at all, differant people have differant social strengths. On the other hand, if it's upsetting her that bad, best thing is to say those 5 words every woman wants to hear "I'm sorry, you were right" and just suck it up. No point in letting it create bitterness at the homefront;^]

Sounds REALY IMPORTANT TO HER.I't won't hurt you to meet her family,But you may hurt her if you don't...If you care about her and wont her in your life in 2008,You just may won't to go with her.Good luck!!
