Thanks, I definatly do think it's true for relationships. I've seen too many friends weighted down into unhappy marriages because they rushed into it so quick, even sadder some have left their marriage only to rush into another unhappy marriage. I know one guy, 39 years old & on his 9th marriage, all because he's in such a hurry to let someone else make him "happy". Pretty ironic I think..lol;^]

life-relationship=happy Have to disagree there, doesn't have to be the traditional "partner" relationship, but life- relationship = Isolation and loneliness. The relationship I have with my true family is priceless;^] |

i meant romance relationships. Obviously in life you need a family and friends.

True that, to each their own;^]

Well, relationships can cause a lot of stress and extra drama that I don't really need in my life. Obviously the extra affection is great but sometimes the relationship isn't worth all the extra effort hence my equation of course it's just my opinion.

It always amazed me to hear people say things like "you should be here at 6 weeks in a relationship" or "you should be doing ___________ by the 3rd date".
No two relationships are the same. Some move faster than others. There's no proof that you must do a relationship in a certain way for it to be successful. Different people, different tastes, different ideas. A lot of relationships fail due to the two people involved trying too hard to make it a carbon copy of what they think all relationships are. Go with the flow, I say. Engaged by the third date, or just holding hands? Doesn't matter a bit, besides, it's no one's business but yours. |

Is anybody ready for marriage after only knowing eachother for 6 weeks? Personaly I don't think so, and for marriage anyway, ANY marriage that's going to work is going to still work if you wait a couple years, hence the reason to take it slow, to be sure beyond the shadow of doubt;^] |

amen knox...to each his own

I don't think relationships should have a timeline like Knox said it's whatever happens. If it takes you 2 months to hold hands so be it.
