Thank you LS. While most of the world is taking a break right now (whether willingly or not), if we call in at the hospital we have to have a doctors note before we can return to work. Also, if anyone refuses to care for a patient, our licenses will be turned into the State Board...it’s kind of tense at work at times but we are thankful for our jobs and the opportunity to work and help in time of need... Seems you are working in healthcare as well? Sending my greetings of solidarity. Stay safe and stay strong Thank you |

Hi Blondey111 It’s not the regulatory body that made this decision, but the hospital I am employed at. People were refusing to go into certain patients rooms and so this was what was reiterated to us from the top down. Any staff who has an increased risk factor such as age over 6O, immune compromised or with any health concern that puts them at Increased risk should be exempt from caring for covid patients . Legally ..... All healthworkers have always had the right to put their own safety first In situations of danger/risk ... that has not changed . There should be no threats or coercion of any staff . |

something I dont understand yet...
is why are all the nursing homes getting it ... guess being brought in by family and friends or if the healthcare providers have it ... these are dangerous places to visit and they have stopped most visiting... now I heard a VA hospital has it ... did not hear where yet ... an really thanks for all the helpers with this pandemic ... from the professionals down to the national gourd handing out food & water to those in need ... |
