Topic: The Ouroboros Feast | |

May our desire like an ouroboros consume itself
May we want to see More than to see what we want May we want to hear More than to hear what we want May we want to feel More than to feel what we want Throwing our arms wide open to the cold wind Embracing it without a cloak Loving shamelessly Without fear of discomfort to our senseless senses May we find our comfort in the truth alone May we allow the tide of impermanence To wash away our golden sandcastles Built with the stones of our own rational May we fall headfirst from the sky we painted into place With our watercolors of self will And a paintbrush of wisps of outsights That we imagined to be firm cords of insights May we be entirely robbed Ransacked of our plastic Jesus and all his toy disciples By the truth that comes to us like a thief in the night Pilfering us of our diamonds of resentments Our coins of golden grandiosity Leaving us groundless in resolution To abandon the reconstruction of our Disneyland may we be left impoverished of ambition Blessed in the poorness of our spirit Abandoned to the reign of peace Resting in peace before we die Following our surrendered heart Back home |

Such an interesting poem. I am studying Theology at the moment and I recognize so much of The Word in your words....
