Topic: The Dragons Belly | |

A poem born in hell
Stanzas of cynicism Like railroad tracks Carry this heart of doubt Its engine of surety rumbling and rambling Stealing away the purity of the mystery Bound and shackled in fetters of fixation Plundered of all awe No surprise Notions of permanence Like coils of a serpent Strengthening despair Breathless Gasping for the air of innocence Unable to swallow trust While being swallowed up Eaten alive Never more the less One last look The setting sun The sinking heart Taking my seat In the dragons belly Till my time has come |
