Times when those who are the farthest away from us are the closest to us The distant heart Willing to be Persistent in presence Drawn not away By every scent in the breeze By every touch on the skin By every taste every sight Resolved Impoverished of ambition Content in being With BEING itself As it is happening to be Satiated in its fullness A still placid pool Swallowing up a river of tumultuous sensations |
