Who was I before I was attacked?
I was a nice guy who looked on the bright side of things. Never saw nothing wrong with the world. Till one day I saw a guy beating some other guy I stepped in I wish I did not I spent all my summer in intensive care unit healing All because he stabbed me in the ribs and punctured a lung Now I can't trust anyone at all I think of one person now Me! And now I write Poems to lash out!! |

I don't know how you feel, but I can relate... I was young and more naive than I am now...girl attacked me from the back when I put her abusive boyfriend down. I will still put abusive men down, but will watch my back while doing the deed. Men can always walk away, where women often don't have that choice.
