Real gifts... no time-frame, it depends on the depth of the connection.
I've had gifts on a first date (meet & greet), but that's like a box of good bonbons, a crystal etc. So small tokens of appreciation. I've done the same too.
I'm very much a giver, for me it's something I have to control a bit. In other words, there have been occasions where I gave too much too soon.

I agree... no time-frame. It wouldn't bother me if he brought a box of good chocolates or flowers on the first date, it's sweet and I'd appreciate his gesture.

I believe it depends on the connection you have, how comfortable you are doing so, and how comfortable your date is receiving them. Small tokens early on would give you an indication of whether they are receptive to it or not. I like giving gifts as much as I like receiving them, perhaps even a little more.

It's always nice, to be given a ruby red ring
on the first date.

Depends on how I feel at the time.
I am a natural.
Expecting me to do anything according to status quo is a mistake.
By the first 'date' she will know this.
So, if I give a gift on the first date, she has certainly made an impression on me.
Not Very Likely.

I am discussing little gifts, playful, humorous, a flower, flowers, nothing huge like a ring.

A ruby red ring.

It's a gift, a woman gives.
While wearing lipstick.

Presents are fun, but, for me, only once someone knows
me well enough to make is something meaningful. I’m not
impressed with the get me something just to get me something
gift. Unless it was a Range Rover. :)

it all depends, but for me more than 6-1 year. you need to get to know the person well. unless you feel very close to the person than is different.
