I say nothing until I feel it.
Saying I love you is not a trap, its an expression of personal feelings. I'm not going to say "I Love You" till I do, then I will shout it from the rooftops. I do acknowledge her words as her feelings. Its been my experience women are more comfortable talking about love than me. Not that I can't. They just feel more comfortable talking about moods and feelings. I express my love in my actions/deeds and my words are just when I feel it so strongly I don't feel my actions are enough. I always tell my family I love them. My kids grew up in a family where love was a strength not a weakness. By contrast, I grew up in a family where love was a whisper and considered a weakness. We all knew we were loved but nobody talked about it. |

Just say how you truthfully feel. Tell them that you like them a lot, but you arent quiet ready to say I love you yet.

Learn to love yourself first before you can extend to outsiders. Appreciate and value yourself the way you are.

It depends if they mean they are "in love with you" or saying "I love you" as a friend. You need to find that out first.
They are two totally different things. |

I have noticed people saying "I love you" to a platonic friend. They tell all their friends that. I find this overuse of the words diminishes their value. So when a friend says I love you, I respond with "i think you are special too"
