PROFILE PREFERENCES

I am having trouble with my Mingle2 profile.

I have, several times, set my "Profile Preferences" at the following:

SEEKING:
18-30 years of age
Negro/mixed, Latina/Hispanic
Slim/Petite/Athletic build
Should prefer museums, walks in parks, bicycling, etc
Within 20 miles, of Springfield Illinois (If possible)

What I am receiving is:
35-50 years old
white
medium to LARGE build
within 500 (+) miles, of Springfield Illinois

Though I have reset my preferences, more than once, the mainframe just does not want to accept my perferences.

My question is: Do I need a PAID membership, to Mingle2, in order to receive the kinds of profiles that I ask for?

no.
1st are you on full site with a pc or on a device and using an app or the mobile site.
2nd those are advanced settings
on the full site
you need to scroll down to the bottom and use the find matches button every time. all the checked boxes down the list will stay until you change them

Not sure what you're asking; whether it is Mutual Matches or using the Search feature.

Anyone can match with you as the site has no control over that.

The system is set to revert back to default after each search.

You can also limit who can send you mail to only those who fit your criteria and you can do that here http://mingle2.com/inbox/filters.

You do not need to Upgrade to do any of the above.

no delightful he is not asking about mutual match. he is asking about search settings

i went and looked on the mobile site and didn't see advance search so only answered based on the full site. which does not reset search parameters unless you do play mutual match and view all the profiles that fit the basic search setting you had
