We use the word "hate" sparingly but most of the times, it is annoyance that we feel.. like I say "I just hate it when men leave the toilet seat up!  " What I was really feeling is annoyance and if one keeps leaving the toilet seat up, I might hit their head with frying pan.

Yes, I agree! I've said I hate something, but it was more of an annoyance. There's some things I seriously don't like, but I won't entertain hate. I'd much rather have love in my heart.

Are we talking love and hate of a person, or love and hate in general?
IN other words, I can love someone and therefore HATE that they are in pain, or HATE a choice they have made that I feel is unhealthy, harmful, or criminal. But I cannot LOVE someone and HATE that someone at the same time. |
