“Lonely”

Do you ever get lonely?
Being the one and only.
As you watch others go by.
It is hard for us to deny.

That it would be nice.
Just to have the peace.
To know we have found
That special one to be around.

Do you ever feel so alone?
You feel as if you’re unknown.
That no one knows your there.
And life seems so unfair.

At times do you wonder?
That you’re sinking and going under.
But even then no one would pay attention.
Just leave you hanging in suspension.

As if they did not even hear.
You wish you could just disappear.
Away from it all cause no one.
Would even know you were gone in the long run.

Just hide up in the mountains in a cabin.
You only tell your next of kin.
That way you don’t have to care.
If anyone at all is aware.

Because they never knew you were there.
Nor did they see you shed a tear.
Or know of your fear.
As you walk into the shadows to disappear.
