I'm not really into football but when I see these teams going under it is a shame.
On the news they showed some old black and white footage of a game, there were thousands of people there! Problem is is getting people to attend all the time. It's not cheap! Hope it gets turned around |

And then Blackburn escaped by a whisker, just heard it on the radio. Pity, Bury couldn't find an investor.

And then Blackburn escaped by a whisker, just heard it on the radio. Pity, Bury couldn't find an investor. Yes, they did. The news also said the potential buyers of Bury found much more debt than originally thought, car parks, a heap of other stuff so it just wasn't viable. |

I know nothing about football apart from the stellar wages and transfer costs,it is sad because it brings happiness to many ,I have never figured how it could all be a viable business with so many clubs

I know nothing about football apart from the stellar wages and transfer costs,it is sad because it brings happiness to many ,I have never figured how it could all be a viable business with so many clubs I think, it depends on where you live. Me, coming from Germany, growing up with football. But I can not understand the passion for American football, baseball or rugby. Even if the latter is popular in Ireland. But to me, these sports are boring, but have massive sponsorship deals. |

If you're nose doesn't bend round to your ear then your not getting stuck in enough Ps, that's English football eric |

not the scrum in rugby????? i'm soooo confused Yes, the scrum Professional footballers here do a lot of fake diving, and make out there hurt. Rugby player's have bloody noses and cauliflower ears I think the smaller league clubs are better. |

I was born in Bury and the town has lost so much over the last 40 years; most of its industry and large employers, its historic regiment the Lancashire Fusiliers, it's old centre torn down and replaced by generica and now the football club.

This sort of stuff has been on the cards ever since they introduced the Champions league
When I first heard of it's possibility, I thought it sounded like a good idea My Dad, did not It's a typical rich get richer, poor get poorer situation And money aside, you can win the Champions league, without even winning your own league Plus it's devalued other things. The League Cup and UEFA Cup, don't really have half the prestige they used to have Bring back the European Cup, and the Cup Winners Cup |

Hi ragin , it's the British and European football I'm referring to. hopefully it's different with yours. Sad really that these players have to revert to these tactics, maybe it's because really they are not that good When I was at school pulling on the shirt of another player was a foul, now they hold on pushing them. This kind of foul play plus the scum who played a part in the endless violence in the 70's and 80s put me off football for good. |
