What is the worst or funniest reason you've heard for why someone couldn't show up for a date?

A woman I tried to date was putting on her tight leather pants and sneezed violently.
She got her lip piercing caught in her navel ring, then fell over and knocked herself out.

Actually, she just never showed up.
But in my head, that's what happened.

Other than that the funniest, now but probably not to her, was a girl I was seeing called me suffering from pretty bad food poisoning. That was funny listening to. She ended up getting vomit on her phone then dropped it in the toilet trying to wipe it off. She tried fishing it out of the toilet and ended up soiling herself while swearing and kind of praying at the same time. I heard some of it before the phone died and she described it vividly later. I don't know if that counts as "cancelling" or not showing up for a date because I went and took her to the hospital.
Maybe that's a different thread "worst things that changed your date plans" or something.

Nose hair? Armpit hair? Chest hair? This is PG rated so I cannot mention others. laugh

My car wouldn't start - I'm a mechanic.

I forgot - I'm not important enough to remember a commitment?

Kid got in trouble - actually, I can believe that one but it tells me a lot about her parenting skills.

"Her parenting skills" ? What about the fathers? What kid hasn't got into trouble ? I'm sure your parents had to discipline you when you were growing up.

I have been stood up several times, never found one of them to be terribly funny. I had one that had left for the evening. She left her mother to explain away why she had stood me up. Her mother, tried to get me to laugh it off, only I wasn't seeing the humor in it.

About a year after, I happen to run into the mother at a store, pure chance, she had car trouble in the lot, I helped her out by getting her car started. She thanked me profusely, I told her just before she left, what I thought of her cold hearted slut of a daughter she had. The long face I saw after I said it didn't set well with her.

It's called live up to your commitments you made. If you don't, then you're worth zero to me.

Wow, was she a slut when YOU wanted to date her or because she dumped you? Granted the mom should of had her daughter cancel the date herself instead of making excuses for her but to ream out the mother like that is just being a bitter , vengeful person ,you must not like rejection and a year later .....not nice at all, all that anger it will eat you up alive
