“Finding my Way”

Where did that love go?
Do we even know?
We lost it many years.
Ago, there were so many tears.
As I look deep within my heart.
Why did we ever part?
Was it all me.
And I could not see.
It took me all these years.
Just to start to deal with my fears.
What have I done?
As I start one by one.
I take a step each day.
As I try to find my way.
You see someone brought me to my knees.
They heard from within my pleas.
From the one trapped inside.
I tried my hardest and denied.
But they pushed on instead.
Finally they got inside my head.
They made me take a look.
At what I thought was a closed book
I now can see.
Where it is I want to be.
Not sure how this will go.
But I want you to know.
That I’m trying very hard.
To mend a heart that is scarred.
So will you walk with me today?
And help me find my way.
