Fight, I have NEVER gotten a reply from anyone local. And I didn't do a whole lot of that; just enough to convince me it was a waste of time to write to them.
Once I was here for awhile and had established myself in the forums, people started writing to me. I get lots of e-mail here now. Works better this way, anyway, since I'm basically lazy and would like to save my energy for things other than writing to people who won't respond anyway! |

Well it wouldnt have bothered me as much if I didn't take the time and write something heartfelt. She brought up some things that hit close to home with me . Stuff like weight problems and feeling like the 3rd wheel. I really sympathized with that and basically told her I know how she feels and if she wants to talk that I'm here to listen. But now that I think about it she is probably just saying that stuff for attention and that pisses me off.

Fight: Being a woman, I still get the same results from men...no response to my initial contact email..sometimes even with my "matches" who claim they want to meet me. I just keep plugging away. I get the idea about posting on the forums, but usually I dont have a lot of time to sit at the computer and post, and read, and wait for responses...it's not like real time conversations.

I can truthfully say that I ALWAYS send a reply...even if I'm not interested in continuing the conversation. Common courtesy is how I see it.
Plus, I might miss out on someone special... the Lord works in mysterious ways ya know! |

i think its rude...i try to always answer...sometimes it takes me a day or two but i try.

most of the time, thats why i stopped emailing first now i only email second, so those who want to tak to me must start a conversation, then that way they feel obligted to finish it, unless their ass*oles |
