The more information you have on your profile it then gives the viewer an idea of what type of person you are or if you've written anything that may interest them and incite them to start a conversation.

To me, empty profiles means the person is not serious or too lazy to make the effort so I don't waste my time with them and move on to the next profile.

If you go into a store, you wouldn't buy a box that had no information as to what was inside it. It's the same with profiles. Give us an indication of who you are. Potential matches won't know otherwise.
