Do you think we have become so accustomed to the 'scandal' culture, that we have a harder time being objective over what is truly scandalous or not?

Are we so immersed in negative, that we are immune to noticing real dangers and issues?

makes one wonder ....

Have "we" ever been objective over what is "truly" scandalous or not?

Are we so immersed in negative, that we are immune to noticing real dangers and issues?

No.
But it could possibly be negatively impacting "our" ability to appropriately measure the relevance and severity of "real" dangers and "issues."

makes one wonder ....

What, exactly.

the deeper the wabbit whole the more it will rub off on to you
meaning , the longer you are around something , you come desensitize to it

flash back to when i first seen a body cut open for the first time (Autopsy) , i know i went green , but i didn't loose me cookies like a few in the group that where my elders lol
what do you want , i was hhmm 1st / 2nd grade so uhm 7 or 8 years old
<shrug>
any who point in being , the longer the docs are around all the blood and guts the less it affects them

bad meta fore , no idea , i just norm run off of what i have experienced

now as far as real dangers coming and or the many that are all ready here
no

I agree. Most people are so focused on themselves they truely are clueless.

perhaps for some but not all dat ... sometimes desensitisation can happen but mostly people develop more effective coping g skills especially in a professional environment . I have seen hundreds of deaths but I still feel emotions of loss and grief ., I have just learned healthy ways to express and cope with those feelings . Perhaps those who become desentistised it is a poor defence mechanism . Good point though waving
