Some people deactivate because they have moved on to a different site / app. Others are deactivated by admin for doing bad things.

Regardless many members do Deactivate every time they leave and some just once in a while..

Many of our regular Forum Members do this as well..

Does Not Matter if the Member Deactivates or the Site does it for them it will still show you the same Message if they have been Deactivated..

But seems a Moderator has already explained that to you~~

I would say that about 95% of what gets deactivated is deactivated by the system. Most are scammer types that get caught. Some do slip through the system. But usually, they don't come back anymore. In other words, it's another dead profile.

Some do deactivate when they leave each time. It's the only way they can come back with a clean page. In other words, they don't want a dozen or more emails or 100 likes from scammers. By deactivating, scammers can't bother you. Most of those aren't here to date anyway.

Me, I don't worry about it. I get 50 to 100 "looks" almost every night. I know what they are. So, I delete them and keep going. I have my filters set to keep most undesirables from bothering me with messages. What I can't control I ignore.

How do you do it and why (as a real person)?? Does anyone else find this bothersome? Why would a "real" person deactivate their account? They cant receive emails or any other of the cool stuff. I even see people in the forum deactivating their account or is this just a good indication that they are scammers and have gotten themselves in a pickle and have to make a new account?

One of the moderators a few weeks ago told me that real members often deactivate their account every time they get off the site - but that doesn't make sense to me. Why go thought all that, you know?
