Topic: Coming On Strong | |
---|---|
This is a sentence (?) from an actual note I received this morning on another site:
"I Believe that a strong relationship is not based only on sex life but that a strong relationship builds a strong love life that leads to a strong and great sex life" Might want to think about picking up a thesaurus there, hun. The rest of it is even worse and it's obvious she never bothered to look at my profile. Next.... |

Right, Lex.
Well command of the English language isn't everything. I'd rather read that than 'No drama' or anything with 'mind games' in it or any of the other overused (and boring) phrases. That's just the kind of gal I want to date, someone who's been royally dumped on and let's you know about it right from the start. |

I find that a lot of men seeking think the word "dating" means pick me up and get naked. I think they need a frn* dictionary!

idunno, i think it might all translate to blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blabbity blah dont think ill say a darn thing but im gonna fill this out anyways equally |

Might as well read the ingredients list on the jar of peanuts. |

Hey Lex, I look at it this way bro.
YOU GOT MAIL!!!!!!! LOL,LOL,LOL I think I have slipped into the BIG CRACKS of LIFE PASSED BYE! LOL. The Young "THINK" they want LOVE, and the MIDDLE AGE ones, just want a GOOD TIME. And the older ones put way to MUCH effort into finding ALL of their WANTS in one man, OR they feel YOUR not right...LOL But at least your still getting mail dude,,,THATS SAYING ALOT!!!!! |

JazzieJo, well that is the eventual expectation i presume you realise. i reckon you mean they think that if youre online youre easier or more desperate than the gals they meet in person. [Is that what they think what a waste of brain energy! You want a toy go to TOYS R US! /quote] |

I respectfully take exception to mnhikers comment about "no drama." I am not a woman who has been dumped on and is advertising the fact; I have just worked hard to build a life that doesn't revert to the old high school days when a man walks in! I want adult companionship, intelligent conversation, and a guy who actually KNOWS what a thesaurus is! To ask that a man check the drama at the door, and not play games with my feelings, may be boring to some but I know what I want and won't apologize for that. That said, I shall continue to remain a drama-free zone!
As for your friend, Lex. You could always be her mentor!! |

Lex...
She wants to get LAID!!!! Don't you think??? |
@ Puffins!!
Don't we all??? |
Lex... She wants to get LAID!!!! Don't you think??? Puff -- Yeah, that was my immediate impression when I read it the first time. Not that that's necessarily a bad thing; but the rest of the information in the note disqualifies her from being someone I would get involved with. Which she would have known, had she bothered to read my profile. And, on that site, my profile is only about 5 paragraphs, so she can't even use the "it's too long" excuse, the way people do here! |

LEX!!! YOU GOT SOME MAIL!!!
Hugs my friend... may you find that not so strong- not so russian- not so scammer lady your looking for... |
READ,,,YOUR PROFILE???? LADIES DO THAT????? lol
Maybe 70 percent for ladies, over 10 percent for us guys, lol. I think the ladies will go at a pic, then over-read high lights. Then leave and NEVER say anything?? LOL |

I just have to say how impressed I am with the sentance structure on this site! Even on myspace I get these 17 yr old kids...WUT UP BABY...WAN 2 CHAT...yea, cause Im so impressed with that! Thank you thank you. I can totally accept some spelling and grammar issues, hell I'm pretty guilty of letting my fingers get ahead of my brain. And I dont proofread my posts. But this whole new language the kids are using, annoys me to no end. I told my 13 year old, if I go into his myspace and see that crap from him or anyone hes talking to, he won't be able to use it. And for god sakes kids pull up your pants. the ONLY people who find that cute, are the other people that do it. I have talked to some ghettofied chickas who think its a pretty trashy trend. Maybe I am old, and Im rambling.

Sorry you feel that way,
KeepingtheFaith. I just get a negative vibe if someone has things that can be perceived as negative in their profile. I feel that if I was with such a person I'd always be walking on thin ice, when I'd rather be on the old terra firma. It's not like I haven't gone through a lot of bad experiences myself, but I try not to let it rule my life or my relationships. To a certain extent we are defined by our past, but even more so, we are defined by how we look to the future. |
Don't be, mnhiker. You actually expanded my point a bit. I know myself well enough to know that I don't want to deal with someone's negative "vibe", pay for the sins of their past lovers, or walk on thin ice. To me, THAT is drama.
I don't make the "no drama" statement a primary point in my profile, but it is important to me. I want a positive, healthy relationship between two adults that respect each other (and want to get laid!) I think we agree more than not, my friend! |

Thanks, KeepingTheFaith.
Too bad you didn't live closer or I'd probably invite you to lunch somewhere. |

Bring your thesaurus, mnhiker!!
